** NEW ** FUND RAISING AND FITNESS OPPORTUNITY

Dear swimmers and parents,

I am looking at organising an exciting challenge to raise money for Bicester Swim Club at the end of August. It is cycling from John O Groats to Lands End, commencing on 26/08/2012 to 02/09/2012. If you are up for the challenge or know someone outside of the club that would be, please email me on the address below. The deadline for signing up is February 12th February, as I will be booking the accommodation the next day in order to get the best possible price. I have calculated the cost and the total for the accommodation is £263.40. The price includes 8 nights stay - one night before the cycle starts at John O Groats followed by 7 nights accommodation to Lands End. The route has been confirmed so please email if you would like to know it or would like to join us at any point during the ride.

We are looking at completing the challenge as cheaply as possible, therefore we are looking for as much help as possible. Currently, we are in desperate need of a driver in order to carry supplies and spares during the cycle. This role is crucial to the success of the cycle, and would be happy to pay expenses in order to get someone on board. If you can do half the challenge, then this would be great. Furthermore, if you can offer anything to the cycle, both help or supplies, then this will be greatly received.

We are aiming to train every week after the Saturday morning session. Our next training ride will be Saturday 4th February, meeting outside the Bicester Sports Centre at 9:15AM. A road bike is desirable as we are looking at cycling around 30 miles. Anyone is welcome to the session, even if you are thinking of joining up or would just like to keep fit. There will be a £2 charge per person and this will all go towards the sponsorship.

Important Notice to All Trophy Winners of 2010 Club Champs!

With the 2011 Club Champs presentations fast approaching, can I please ask all trophy winners of the 2010 Gala, to return their Trophy to Jonathan Whitley ASAP. If you are unsure of who I am ask one of the coaches or other committee members who will point me out.

May I respectfully request that you give them a polish first, so that they can be handed out in the same condition that you would like to receive them. If you have not yet had them engraved, now is your last chance!
