Maxwell Summer 2010 Meet 19/20 June - online assisted registration available - tight deadline for this one!!

As entries are by consolidated forms for boys and girls, then please use the online assisted registration facility to create your entry and hand it to Sam along with a cheque for the fees made out to Bicester Blue Fins.

Squad Training during Counties

Please note that there will be no training at Bicester on Sunday 7th March and Sunday 14th March for all squads due to all our coaching staff being involved with the County Championships at Aquavale at that time. The only exception is Masters who are welcome to swim as normal. Unlike previous years, when Saturday morning training was also cancelled, there will be training this year on Saturday 6th March and Saturday 13th March as normal.

Volunteers for County Champs Required

Every year we are requested to provide volunteers for the counties taking place at Aquavale, Aylesbury on the weekends of 6 & 7 March and 13 & 14 March. This year we have been requested to provide spectator marshalls for the main block. We need two people for every session, morning, afternoon & evening. This role entails keeping all stairways and steps clear in the spectator area and assisting people to find their seats throughout the sessions. If you are able to volunteer for all or any of these sessions please contact shelley at shellemayne@yahoo.co.uk or let her know at one of the training sessions.

Forthcoming open meets and galas

The Maxwell summer meet L3 is coming up, 19th and 20th June. Places are granted on a first come first served basis so Sam will open up the applications as soon as she can.

We have also organised a Novices Gala at Amersham, 8th May, the team will be selected by Craig and Kirsten

Lessons co-ordinator required

Kerry will be stepping down as our Lessons Coordinator from Easter 2010. This is a key post within the club and we are looking to fill it as soon as possible.

Timekeeper course at Aqua Vale

There is a time keeping course available at Aqua Vale on Sunday 28 March, probably between 4 and 7.30pm but these times are to be confirmed. If you or anyone you know wishes to attend this course them please let me know as soon as possible as these courses often fill very quickly. However, we would be able to access 10 places if we have the take up.

We have received a request from Stowe school to please park in the designated areas.

Can all Blue Fins Parents, coaches and swimmers refrain from parking the other side of the stone arch and instead park on the flat area near the Stowe minibuses where most of us usually park.

New Fees come into effect 1st Jan 2010
